Johanna Laitinen

“My mission as an artist is to build an art space in my community to share with creators of all ages and skills. Soon I will provide a place to connect, create, and reduce loneliness and stress.”

Johanna is a self-taught artist, born in Victoria BC and living in Summerland, British Columbia, Canada.

After a career as a cartographer applying black ink to white velum, Johanna is now a colourist applying acrylic to canvas.

The unique landscape of the Okanagan valley is an inspiration to create the moods, atmosphere and light of the Okanagan.

While her primary concentration is Landscapes, she also creates Still Life and portraits.
